Last night I got a couch, pulled down Hulu desktop, and vegged out more than I had in the last month. It was sort of awesome, but tonight it’s back to work.

Burning Man was an incredible, life altering experience that I’ll never forget. It has seared so deeply into my skin that going again next year, or every year, is a given. Here’s what I want. I want to donate money to a fund for moderates. Moderates who play ball, negotiate and pass a health reform bill get campaign money from the fund. Moderates who do not see their piece go to their most credible opponent. Is there a fund like that?
The team smashes the vacation test
I don’t go on vacation often. About once a year I spend a week to ten days in California with my family. This year I took a full two weeks and went to Burning Man as well. More on Burning Man in a later post.
Once upon a time going on vacation was a terrifying prospect. Fire fighting was a nearly daily exercise, and leaving that in the hands of the new kids just didn’t sit well...

Tracked down the SF and Sacramento NPR stations so we could listen to Obama’s speech on the way home from the Giants game. My Dad followed suit by locking in the Sacramento one as preset #2. Double win.
